A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Configuring a catch-all email mailbox will be astonishingly easy in case you’ve got a cloud plan with us. You can enable this feature through our advanced, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the web hosting account itself. You’ll see all the email addresses that you have created enumerated alphabetically and next to each one of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly reveal to you if a certain mailbox gets all the email messages for a certain domain name or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature at any time. If there is active email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you’ll get a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to create a catch-all address with no more than a click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting plan with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the mailboxes that you set up using any domain hosted in the account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable the feature will be to click on that icon. In the exact same way you’ll be able to remove the feature, if you do not need it any longer. Our system will inform you if you’re trying to activate a second catch-all address for a given domain or in case there’s active email forwarding, but it will never change or deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.
