.NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level domain is the only one intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At first, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to secure john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level domain names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can secure your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been completed. There are no special prerequisites on who can reserve a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the objective behind its creation alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
